How much do we know about Stonehenge? Less than we think. And what has Stonehenge got to do with the Ice Age? More than we might think. This blog is mostly devoted to the problems of where the Stonehenge bluestones came from, and how they got from their source areas to the monument. Now and then I will muse on related Stonehenge topics which have an Ice Age dimension...

Very amusing.
Operation Stonehenge - 8pm Thursday 11th September 2014 on BBC2 . See the Latest "jaw dropping" discoveries from Blick Mead, Amesbury.
Is it an animated cartoon, Pete?
it will probably have Clowns in it!
Have sent this Post with its cartoons to the Julian Richards archaeologist who has written and spoken about Stonehenge [there are TWO Julian R's, you see!] over several decades, as well as digging and field walking in its vicinity. He collects all sorts of Miscellania to do with Stonehenge over relatively recent times, and displays them on occasion.
Last comment was me!!
Thanks Andy -- delighted to do that. So great thanks to Tony -- personally, I think his are the best!
Some great cartoons here.
May I use (& of course credit) the Tony Husband one 'should have turned left a mile back'
I rent out some self catering cottages near Stonehenge and this cartoon may be a fund adret for potential visitors to the area.
many thanks-Les
