Derek Gabel was supposedly involved in similar investigations at Craig Rosyfelin, but any results have never been provided.
You mean Derek Fabel. I never did get to the bottom of what happened. But I gather that there never was a proper sampling programme there, designed to answer key questions -- and that the "big slab" was the only thing sampled. There was a rumour that the rhyolite was "not suitable" for the method proposed, so it was then assumed that any results would be unreliable. Very convenient......
