How much do we know about Stonehenge? Less than we think. And what has Stonehenge got to do with the Ice Age? More than we might think. This blog is mostly devoted to the problems of where the Stonehenge bluestones came from, and how they got from their source areas to the monument. Now and then I will muse on related Stonehenge topics which have an Ice Age dimension...

In case anybody wonders, this was the expedition which I led with David Sugden to the Scoresby Sund / Jamson Land / Kjove Land area in 1962. Some of the incidents in my new novel are based on incidents that occurred during our trip into the wilderness..... 52 years ago. Makes me feel VERY old...... This film was compiled from our slides by Chris, David's brother.
Inspiring glacial landscapes, photography, interactions between peoples....and what is the music?
I think Chris used the Benedictus by Karl Jenkins on this one about the expedition. Not sure what the music is on the other one.....
