Castlerigg stone circle

Somebody posted this gorgeous image on Facebook today. If there ever was a serious stone circle anywhere in Pembrokeshire, it might well have looked something like this.........

It is indeed curious that a such a splendid circle is not extant in Preselly and we must make do with Gors Fawr. It is not as if there were too few stones lying about.

Agree, Chris. I just don't think there was a very vibrant megalithic culture in Pembs -- it was far more vibrant in Devon and Cornwall. So MPP's insistence that there was a fantastic ceremonial landscape or a major Neolithic monument complex in Preseli is just another example of his fantasising. He just trots out stuff like this in order to bolster his fantastical narrative, blithely unconcerned about whether there is any evidence to support what he is saying.

Fabulist he is, and should be " outed" as such. He admits to being a disciple of the Harrison Ford film character, Whats'isname Jones.....Alice Roberts should refuse to be filmed with him.

Interesting that the plan of Castlerigg is an oval, not a circle.
