Thanks to brother-in-law Ken for these pics, taken the other day when we had a good bracing walk up among the high peaks of Preseli. We did get soaked, of course -- but what do you expect when it's August in west Wales? Anyway, every time I go up there I discover something new.......
How much do we know about Stonehenge? Less than we think. And what has Stonehenge got to do with the Ice Age? More than we might think. This blog is mostly devoted to the problems of where the Stonehenge bluestones came from, and how they got from their source areas to the monument. Now and then I will muse on related Stonehenge topics which have an Ice Age dimension...

Go on then ... what did you discover? A quarry perhaps ..
No quarries, much to my disappointment! But some interesting features that I take to be meltwater features -- I'm more and more convinced that the Weichselian (Devensian) Irish Sea Glacier overtopped the Preseli upland ridge. More visits needed to sort things out......
