One of the lesser-known erratic sports is erratic perching, as practised on the island of Blidö in Sweden. The current record is 21 pebbles, achieved last year in calm and sunny conditions. This year I only achieved 20 pebbles, and sustained a minor erratic injury when one of my more ambitious installations collapsed and left me with a seriously bruised foot. It's a tough life being an erratic artist........ but the suffering is all in a good cause......
