Frozen splashes

As a welcome change from all this Stonehenge fantasising, this is intriguing.  Somebody put it on Twitter -- splashes from a road which have frozen into a series of grotesque ice sculptures on an adjoining hedge.  I am constantly surprised by the ability of ice crystals to find new ways of expressing themselves!  Presumably this ice is rather salty, because this set of circumstances must be associated with roadway gritting and salting.
