Pembrokeshire Submerged Forests map

This map shows the location of all described submerged forest exposures in Pembrokeshire.  Most are described in the literature.

"Candidate sites" are locations where the submerged forest probably exists beneath beach sand, and where there is a reasonable chance of storm waves in the winter months changing the beach profile and exposing remnants of trees and peat beds.

This link should take you to all the Coflein records:

Corrections:

Abereiddi is confirmed as a recorded site -- thanks to Dan Soper who took a photo in Feb 2014.
