THE BOOK
Some of the ideas discussed in this blog are published in my new book called "The Stonehenge Bluestones" -- available by post and through good bookshops everywhere. Bad bookshops might not have it....

Coming soon — new book from the Magalithic Portal

I’m happy to give support to the new book from the Megalithic Portal — edited by Andy Burnham.  More info can be found here:

http://www.megalithic.co.uk/shop/the_old_stones_megalithic_portal_book.htm

On the web site there are some sample pages and also info on how to pre-order.  It looks beautifully designed, with great maps, photos and diagrams, so it will probably become an essential item on the bookshelves of all who are interested in old stones....

I’ll give more info closer to the publication date in September.

Due in September. It looks great.
I get my 'Thank You' copy later this month and will report.

But, Brian, no sign of any proportionate consideration of the Glacial Transport Theory that I can deduce from what you show?

Yawn.

I now feel a new website coming on. It will be focused on those who attempt to control and/or /manipulate the mass media, internet especially, notably as regards those eye-catching and occasionally money-spinning topics (like, you know, Stonehenge and other mysterious Neolithic-era monuments that loom large on the landscape).

My new site (adding to the present three) will almost certainly arrive well before September.

Nope, there's no attempt on my part to create suspense via premature announcements, indefensible delay etc - the latter being others' carefully designed modus operandi ... read internet control freakery by any other name, yawn....

Please, give it a rest...

Tony — I contributed a few bits for Andy. No idea how they might be used in the final text..... but On the whole Andy does seem to look at things in a rather balanced way....

Glad to hear that about Megalithic Portal's Andy. I get his emails but don't comb through them regularly.

Agreed with that: The editor they have on board was exceptionally thorough with the contributions I made.

sciencebod needs to please give it a rest. He seems to have spent countless hours and thousands and thousands of words putting together some cockeyed theory about Stonehenge and then because he can't get anyone in the media to take any notice of him he has a new theory that there's a conspiracy to keep him out of the public eye. Much more likely that the reporters are hoping he and his obsessions/delusions will go away and stop bothering them.
