I get a lot of messages from blog contributors, some of whom request personal replies -- not for publication.  Can I remind our friendly chatting community that it's better in such cases not to contact me via this blog, since I do not get to see Email addresses and therefore cannot reply personally, in private.  Therefore, if you want to conduct a personal conversation, or send me a confidential message, please contact me by normal Email, addressed to brianjohn4"at"mac.com.  Many thanks.
