I'm putting this illustration up again because the version posted yesterday can't be enlarged for some reason. If you click on this one, it should become much easier to examine. In most of its details it seems about right, ie within a km or two of the actual ice edge. The map shows very nicely the type of "fingered" ice edge that we see around the edge of the Greenland Ice Sheet today. I'm still a little uncertain of the long lobe pushing southwards from Crymych. One day I must take a walk over there and check it out......
Now we are building up a nice collection of substantial moraines formed around the time of maximum Devensian ice extent -- at Gernos, Pont Ceunant, Cilgwyn, Tafarn y Bwlch. Check them all out by using the search box. There must be more -- watch this space.
