These show Mount Asgard on Baffin Island -- famous in the climbing fraternity but also in glacial geomorphology circles -- showing how vertical downcutting can occur in certain circumstances by a combination of frost-shattering and glacial trough deepening (and transport away of lots of debris) by glaciers in close proximity.
