From Chris: This amulet was found in Norway, at Fitjar in Hordeland. Could it be that the images relate to victories by a Scandinavian war band in the dark ages?

Personally, I'm not all that convinced....
It's closer than some other suggestions but what is missing is the crescent shape head which is clear in this pic

it's a similar design to those found locally and also in some the engravings from Stonehenge but the most important factor is that representational engravings are very rare and one of the few non representational motifs found in Atlantic engravings are axes , usually without handles and usually in numbers .
